Latest Condition of Bandung Mayor Farhan After Sudden Hospitalisation

The Regional Secretary of Bandung, Iskandar Zulkarnain, has provided an update on the condition of Mayor Muhammad Farhan after he was suddenly taken to hospital. “Alhamdulillah, the Mayor is now improving. However, he still needs to undergo further examinations,” Iskandar said at the Asia Africa Festival on Saturday (11/7).

Farhan was taken to hospital after his health declined on Friday (10/7) afternoon. He was transported on a stretcher and required an intravenous drip. “Because he fell ill suddenly yesterday, we also need to know the cause. So, we apologise that the Mayor could not attend this event today,” Iskandar added.

Iskandar admitted that he has not yet received a definite diagnosis of the illness Farhan is experiencing. However, it is suspected that Farhan suffered from exhaustion. “A packed schedule caused his physical condition to be less fit. I don’t know the diagnosis yet, because there has been no word from the doctor,” he concluded.

It was previously reported that Farhan’s health declined while he was receiving guests in his office. Following that agenda, Farhan was actually scheduled to attend a plenary meeting at the Bandung City Regional People’s Representative Council (DPRD). However, his condition deteriorated drastically, and he was rushed to hospital for intensive care.
