Companies in the Special Region of Yogyakarta (DIY) are being urged to comply with regulations regarding the payment of Eid bonuses (THR). The Head of the DIY Manpower and Transmigration Office, Ariyanto Wibowo, stated that the office has begun conducting early detection of THR payments for companies in DIY. This detection, he explained, prioritises companies that received complaints last year. According to a recapitulation of THR payment data from last year, the DIY Manpower and Transmigration Office received approximately 120 complaints related to THR payments. “The most complaints came from Sleman Regency, and the most common issue reported was that THR was not paid less than seven days before Eid,” he said. He hopes that this year, there will be no complaints regarding THR payments, including late payments. “We are conducting early detection for 30 companies,” he said. He also explained that the 120 complaints regarding THR received last year have been resolved. Therefore, the government is now focused on ensuring that workers’ rights are met and business continuity is maintained. The 2026 THR payment regulations refer to the Minister of Manpower Regulation Number 6 of 2016 concerning Religious Holiday Allowances for Workers in Companies. (H-4) Member of Commission IX of the Indonesian House of Representatives, Asep Romy Romaya, has urged the government to take firm action against companies that violate their obligation to pay Eid bonuses (THR) to their employees. Payment 14 days in advance provides workers with the opportunity to better prepare for their holiday needs. To anticipate the surge in public needs during Ramadan, PT JULO Teknologi Finansial (JULO) is strengthening its technology systems. The readiness of THR payments this year is a serious concern for parliament, especially in ensuring that companies have sound and measurable financial planning. Member of Commission IX of the Indonesian House of Representatives, Irma Suryani, has urged the Ministry of Manpower to take a firm stance regarding the schedule for the disbursement of Eid bonuses (THR) for workers in the private sector.
