Last-minute Qurban? Trusted Online Qurban Services
Idul Adha is officially celebrated in Indonesia today as an occasion to perform the qurban ritual, following the example of Prophet Ibrahim (AS). This ritual is not only about slaughtering animals but also a way to celebrate the community’s spirit of mutual cooperation.
For those wishing to perform qurban at the last minute, here are trusted online services available today.
- Baznas
Baznas (National Zakat Agency) is the first option for online qurban this year. As a government-established institution, its distribution reaches remote areas across the archipelago, including the most underserved regions. Online qurban can be done via baznas.go.id/kurban, with options for sheep, goats, and cattle. In addition to fresh meat distribution, Baznas offers canned meat options. The selected animals include slaughtering and distribution services to recipients, along with qurban reports.
Dompet Dhuafa, a humanitarian organisation known as Indonesia’s pioneer in online qurban, offers services through digital.dompetdhuafa.org. Options include sheep, goats, buffalo, and cattle. Dompet Dhuafa empowers local farmers to ensure even distribution. It also provides qurban options for Palestinians, with buffalo as a choice. Recipients receive the meat in canned or frozen form. For Palestinians, the sacrifice occurs outside Palestine on the day of Idul Adha and Tasyrik, so the meat is processed or frozen before distribution.
Rumah Zakat, a National Zakat Agency (LAZNAS) under the Ministry of Religious Affairs, offers the “Desaku Berqurban” programme to empower villages. Available options are goats and cattle via rumahzakat.org. There are also combined qurban and donation options, including support for Palestinians and mosque endowments.
DT Peduli, another LAZNAS, provides online qurban services through dtpeduli.id/qurban, with a network spanning 38 Indonesian provinces and 30 other countries. Each qurban is assured to be distributed responsibly to recipients. Options include sheep, goats, and cattle. For domestic distribution, DT Peduli uses eco-friendly bamboo baskets.
LAZISMU, managed by Muhammadiyah Islamic organisation, offers online qurban via lazismu.org under the “Qurbanmu Bahagiakan Sesama” programme. Options include packaged beef and fresh meat (sheep, goats, cattle). There’s also a Palestine-specific option for packaged beef or buffalo.
