JAKARTA - Returnees can still take advantage of the toll fare discount to head back to their workplaces today, Friday (27/03/2026). According to information released by the Toll Road Regulatory Body (BPJT) of the Ministry of Public Works (PU), users of the Trans-Java Toll Road can benefit from a 30 percent toll fare reduction during the Lebaran return flow period, namely on 26-27 March 2026 from 00.00 WIB to 24.00 WIB. The toll discount applies to continuous journeys on several strategic sections to encourage traffic distribution and reduce vehicle density. The 30 percent fare reduction is implemented on the Tangerang-Merak Toll Road with the route from Merak Toll Gate (GT) to Cikupa GT. In addition, similar discounts are also applied to several sections from the east towards Jakarta, including from Kalikangkung GT to Cikatama GT, covering the Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road, Jakarta-Cikampek II Toll Road (Elevated), Cikopo-Palimanan Toll Road, Palimanan-Kanci Toll Road, Kanci-Pejagan Toll Road, Pejagan-Pemalang Toll Road, Pemalang-Batang Toll Road, and Semarang ABC Toll Road. Meanwhile, for the Batang-Semarang Toll Road section, a larger toll discount of 46 percent is provided during the same period. In the subsequent period, the discount is still applied on the Batang-Semarang Toll Road with a different amount, namely 23 percent implemented on 28-31 March 2026. This toll discount policy only applies to road users making long-distance (continuous) journeys from the origin toll gate to the destination toll gate without exiting in the middle (barrier gate to barrier gate). PT Jasa Marga (Persero) Tbk emphasises that the fare reduction only applies to road users who meet several requirements. Road users must make continuous journeys and use the same electronic money card for tap in and tap out, with sufficient balance. Jasa Marga President Director Rivan A. Purwantono explained that the journey origin data and vehicle class must be properly read by the toll transaction system. β€œThe fare reduction does not apply if the electronic money balance transaction is insufficient or the origin and vehicle class are not read,” he said, quoted from an official statement, Friday (27/03/2026). In addition, road users are urged to download the Travoy application to obtain the latest information related to traffic conditions, rest area locations, toll fares, and real-time CCTV access. The public is also asked to ensure the condition of the vehicle and driver is in prime condition, as well as prepare the electronic money balance before travelling. Jasa Marga also reminds road users to obey traffic signs and directions from on-site officers, and not to linger at rest areas so that these facilities can be used alternately by other users.
