Last Day for 50% Discount on Electricity Power Upgrade, Here's How to Get It
Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia - PT PLN (Persero) is offering a 50% discount on electricity capacity upgrade fees. The promotion runs from 14 July until today, 27 July 2026.
PLN’s Retail and Commerce Director, M. Fahrur Rozy, said the programme is intended for single-phase low-voltage customers across all tariff groups with initial capacity ranging from 450 volt amperes (VA) to 5,500 VA who wish to increase their capacity by up to a maximum of 7,700 VA.
According to him, through this programme PLN is giving customers the opportunity to optimise their electricity usage through capacity upgrades at an affordable cost.
“Through the ‘Semangat Baru Makin Berdaya’ programme, PLN wants to make it easier for the public to obtain capacity upgrade services at a lower cost, in order to support children’s studies and various productive activities at home,” said Rozy in a written statement, quoted on Thursday (23/7/2026).
As an illustration, a customer with an initial capacity of 1,300 VA wishing to upgrade to 7,700 VA needs only to pay Rp3,100,800. That figure represents a 50% saving compared to the normal upgrade fee of Rp6,201,600.
Rozy explained that to enjoy this promotion, customers simply need to make at least one token purchase transaction for prepaid customers, or one electricity bill payment for postpaid customers, via the PLN Mobile app during the promotion period. After the transaction is successful, the capacity upgrade discount e-voucher will be received through the “Reward” feature on PLN Mobile or sent to the registered email address.
The e-voucher code can then be used when submitting a capacity upgrade application through the PLN Mobile app. Once payment is verified, the local PLN unit will promptly process the application in accordance with applicable regulations.
“The entire capacity upgrade discount application process is carried out digitally through PLN Mobile, making it more practical, fast, and easily accessible to the public anywhere,” said Rozy.
Rozy added that under this capacity upgrade discount programme, each PLN Mobile account can obtain a maximum of four e-vouchers during the promotion period, with one Customer ID able to take part in the promotion only once.
The “Semangat Baru Makin Berdaya” programme, Rozy continued, applies to customers registered before 1 July 2026 who have settled all their electricity bills and other obligations. He also invited all customers to make the most of this brief 50% electricity capacity upgrade discount programme.
“We invite all customers to take full advantage of this promotion, so that the public can enjoy a more comfortable electricity experience with sufficient capacity to support children’s studies and various family activities at home,” said Rozy.
