Langsa Immigration Deports Another Chinese National for Immigration Violations
The Langsa Class II TPI Immigration Office in Aceh Province has again deported a Chinese national, identified by the initials LG, just a week after repatriating another citizen from the country for immigration violations. “LG was subjected to administrative sanctions for proven violations of immigration regulations as stipulated in Article 75 Paragraph (1) of Law Number 6 of 2011,” said Head of the Langsa Class II TPI Immigration Office, Indra Sakti Suhermansyah, in Langsa on Tuesday. Article 75 Paragraph (1) of Law Number 6 of 2011 states that immigration officials are authorised to take Immigration Administrative Actions against foreigners who engage in activities that endanger public security and order or who fail to comply with laws and regulations. Indra explained that the deportation process was carried out using a commercial flight via Kualanamu International Airport in Deliserdang, North Sumatra. According to him, the deportation is the execution of an immigration administrative action as a form of law enforcement against foreigners who violate Indonesian legal provisions. He explained that the entire deportation process was conducted according to standard operating procedures, from security and travel document checks to the departure for the country of origin. Indra stated that the Langsa Immigration Office is committed to continuously strengthening its oversight function regarding the presence and activities of foreign nationals, in line with the instructions of the Director General of Immigration, Hendarsam Marantoko. “Immigration law enforcement through deportation is a manifestation of the immigration authority’s commitment to maintaining order and security, as well as ensuring that every foreign national conducts activities in accordance with the residence permit they hold while in Indonesian territory,” he said. Previously, the Langsa Class II TPI Immigration Office deported a Chinese national with the initials ZL for violating Indonesian immigration regulations. ZL was repatriated via Kualanamu International Airport on Thursday (16/7). “The Langsa Immigration Office has deported two foreign nationals so far in 2026. Both are citizens of the People’s Republic of China, one this week and another last week,” said Indra Sakti Suhermansyah. Head of the Aceh Regional Office of the Directorate General of Immigration, Tato Juliadin Hidayawan, appreciated the performance of the Langsa Class II TPI Immigration Office in monitoring the activities of foreign nationals. “With the spirit of immigration for the people, the Langsa Immigration Office not only provides services to the public but also ensures the enforcement of law for the sake of national sovereignty,” said Tato Juliadin Hidayawan.
