The railway line in the Cibeber-Lampegan section, Cianjur Regency, specifically at KM 73+9/0, was once again eroded by a landslide on Wednesday night (22/4/2026) following heavy rain. All Siliwangi train services on the Cianjur-Sukabumi route were consequently cancelled on Thursday (23/4/2026).

Heavy rain that lashed Cianjur Regency caused erosion (gogosan) on the Cibeber-Lampegan track, precisely at KM 73+9/0, which is still under repair, stated Kuswardoyo, the Public Relations Manager of PT KAI Daop 2 Bandung, when contacted.

Due to this condition, to ensure the safety of train operations on Wednesday (22/4/2026) around 20:38 WIB, PT KAI decided to cancel the Siliwangi train (345) service from Cipatat to Sukabumi. The train was only operated as far as Cibeber Station and could not continue to Sukabumi.

In addition, Kuswardoyo said, to support the handling process at the site and considering safety factors, all Siliwangi train services from Sukabumi to Cipatat scheduled for today were also cancelled. A total of six Siliwangi train trips were cancelled.

The decision to cancel train services was taken with safety as the top priority. As a service to customers, affected passengers can cancel their tickets with a 100 percent refund of the ticket fare, excluding booking fees, within 7x24 hours from the cancelled train schedule.

The cancellation process can be done at station counters or through customer service. KAI also urges customers to continue monitoring the latest information on train operations through KAI’s official channels, Kuswardoyo added.
