Landslide in Bromo: 7 Motorbikes Buried, Tourist Access Blocked

A landslide occurred in the Bromo area. The landslide occurred at two points, namely Bukit Kedaluh, Penanjakan or Bukit Kingkong, and Bukit Dingklik.

The Kedaluh hill collapsed with a length of 20 meters and a height of 10 meters. The Kedaluh landslide buried seven motorbikes.

Meanwhile, at Bukit Dingklik, the landslide was 10 meters long and 5 meters high. The landslide at this point did not cause any material losses.

The Head of the Pasuruan Regency BPBD (Regional Disaster Management Agency), Sugeng Hariyadi, said the landslide occurred on Wednesday (February 25, 2026) at 01:00 WIB. For a day before the incident until the time of the incident, rain had been pouring in the area.

“There were no casualties in the landslide,” said Sugeng, as reported by detikJatim.

As a result of the landslide, the tourist route from Wonokitri to Bukit Penanjakan was disrupted because the road was blocked by soil and trees carried by the landslide.
