Bogor - Heavy rainfall caused a retaining wall to collapse, triggering a landslide that hit three houses in Puncak, Cisarua Subdistrict, Bogor Regency, West Java. The retaining wall collapse also caused drainage to overflow, flooding six nearby houses.

“The overflow of drainage water caused the retaining wall to collapse, hitting several residential houses and causing flooding,” said Bogor Regency BPBD Emergency and Logistics Division Head Muhamad Adam Hamdani on Sunday (2/15/2026).

Adam said the incident was reported to have occurred due to prolonged heavy rainfall on Saturday (2/14) at around 5:00 PM WIB. A total of 9 houses were affected, with 3 houses damaged by landslide debris and 6 houses inundated by surface flooding.

“Three housing units were affected by landslide material and six housing units were affected by flooding. They were only affected by surface water overflow with no structural damage,” Adam said.

“There were no fatalities or injuries. Material losses cannot yet be estimated. Twelve households have evacuated and are temporarily sheltering in rented houses near the location,” he added.

Adam said the BPBD response team has been working at the scene since last night together with joint personnel. The cleanup of landslide debris continued today.

“The houses affected by surface water have been cleaned up by residents. The houses have not yet been repaired and the landslide material has not yet been cleared — that work continues today,” Adam said.
