I purchased a plot of land at Sukamakmur, Jonggol more than 15
years ago. Due to the location of the Bukit Jonggol Asri project
at Sukamakmur there has been a sharp increase in visitors to the
area. As a result, land prices have risen.

When the project was announced authorities said it would not
cause suffering to the people. This was apparently not heeded by
the person in power at Sukamakmur village. He has silently
informed the people that those wishing to sell their land must do
it through him, or he will not sign the papers in the
transaction.

What is worse is that he has fixed the price himself. He is
apparently acting like a go-between who, if possible, wants to
dominate the whole land in the village.

During Idul Fitri there were certainly many people who
relinquished their land under that system. To avoid more victims,
I would ask the authorities to pay attention to Sukamakmur.
