Land Fire Occurs in West Jakarta, 9 Fire Engines Deployed

Vacant land in Tomang, Grogol Petamburan, West Jakarta, caught fire. Nine fire engines were deployed to extinguish the flames.

Firefighters received the report from residents on Wednesday (19/8/2026) at 11.20 WIB. They then proceeded to the fire location on Jalan Gelong Baru Utara II, RT 15/RW 07, Tomang.

White smoke was seen billowing from the fire site. The vacant land was filled with bushes and rubbish.

The firefighting operation lasted 30 minutes. There were no casualties in the vacant land fire.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation. The firefighting operation ended at around 12.00 WIB.
