Land Fire in Ogan Ilir Extinguished, No Further Spread

Efforts to extinguish a land fire in Ogan Ilir Regency, South Sumatra, involved cooperation from various parties. Manggala Agni personnel from Daops Sumatera XIV-Banyuasin, together with local residents, battled the flames on the ground, while a Sikorsky UH-60A Black Hawk helicopter belonging to the National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB) conducted water bombing operations from the air to accelerate the suppression process. This synergy successfully halted the spread of the fire and prevented it from expanding further amidst the increasing risk of forest and land fires during the dry season.
