JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - SR, the complainant in an alleged land certificate forgery dispute on Jalan Roa Malaka Number 126, Tambora, West Jakarta, fell ill after receiving news that he had been named a suspect in the alleged land certificate forgery case.

SR’s lawyer, Yuspan Zalukhu, said that his client had been named a suspect in two different institutions within a period of two months.

“On Thursday, our client was summoned to provide testimony as a suspect. He panicked and fainted. We took him to the hospital,” Yuspan said when contacted by Kompas.com on Saturday (16/5/2026).

Yuspan said that SR’s psychological condition was shaken because he and his colleague, ICS, were actually named as suspects at the National Police’s Criminal Investigation Unit (Bareskrim Polri) and the Jakarta Metropolitan Police (Polda Metro Jaya).

In fact, their report against another person with the initials S and his associates has not yet been raised to the investigation stage.

“The problem is that his psychological state is very disturbed because he feels that after we reported [the matter], we were reported back, even though our complaint has made real progress,” he said.

Yuspan explained that initially, SR and S reported each other through public complaints (dumas) to the Anti-Land Mafia Task Force of the General Criminal Investigation Division of the National Police.

After that, SR and ICS filed a new report. S also did the same.

However, SR and ICS were then also reported to the Jakarta Metropolitan Police on suspicion of similar criminal acts, namely forgery, providing false information, and land encroachment.

The report against SR is recorded under the number LP/B/6184/X/2024/SPKT/POLDA METRO JAYA dated October 12, 2024.

During the initial examination at the Jakarta Metropolitan Police, SR’s party questioned the existence of two similar reports being processed in two different institutions.

Later, the articles charged against SR and ICS were reduced to Article 266 of the old Criminal Code or Article 392 of the new Criminal Code regarding the falsification of information.

“Because in his complaint at the National Police Headquarters, he said that [S] was ‘allegedly a land mafia.’ I said that the words were said by the legal counsel,” he said.

Currently, Yuspan is urging investigators from the National Police’s Criminal Investigation Unit to immediately hold a special hearing so that his client’s report can also be raised to the investigation stage.

Even so, Yuspan said that his party still opens the possibility of a peaceful settlement between the two parties.

“Now, the spirit of our law is Restorative Justice. Our client is open if the opposing party is willing to sit down together. And our client has also conveyed this to the investigators,” he said.
