Land certificate issuance in Bogor
BOGOR (JP): The Bogor regency issued 30,846 land certificates covering a total area of 6,758 hectares in the 1996/1997 fiscal year, which ended in March, an official has said.
The head of the Bogor Agrarian Office, Kadar Soemintapoera, said that another 20,000 certificates were issued by the Land Administration Project in Depok in the same period.
He said that project, which is financed by the World Bank, was aiming to issue another 25,000 certificates in the current fiscal year.
The issued land certificates covers more than a dozen villages, including Pancoran Mas, Mampang, Beji, Kemirimuka, Tanah Baru, Kukusan, Sukamaju, Sukmajaya, Kalimulya and Kalibaru, he said.
Kadar said that the registered land in Bogor covered only 25 percent of the regency's total area, which according to 1990 data is approximately 3,440 square kilometers. (24/hhr)
