LAN Head: PKN Batch XXV 2026 Strengthens Adaptive Leadership for Disasters
The Head of the National Institute of Public Administration (LAN), Muhammad Taufiq, stated that the National Leadership Training (PKN) Level II Batch XXV for 2026 is being strengthened to be more adaptive to disasters.
“Holding PKN II in Aceh is not merely a choice of location, but carries strategic and historical significance. Aceh is a clear example of a region that has successfully recovered from various disasters through adaptive and collaborative governance,” said Muhammad Taufiq in Aceh Besar on Tuesday.
A total of 63 senior executive officials from various ministries, institutions, and local governments are receiving adaptive disaster leadership reinforcement through the PKN Level II Batch XXV 2026 in Aceh Besar.
According to Taufiq, senior executive officials no longer merely act as managers of bureaucratic routines, but as strategic leaders responsible for translating the government’s grand vision into policies and programmes that directly impact the community.
He assessed that the PKN theme, “Adaptive Leadership in Strengthening Post-Disaster Recovery Governance to Realise Regional and National Resilience,” is highly relevant to the current challenges faced by Indonesia as a country prone to various natural disasters and climate change.
“The concept of resilience needed today is no longer just the ability to return to the original condition after a disaster. Central and local governments must be able to carry out transformation, so that post-disaster conditions become better than before,” he said.
He stated that future governance must not only be able to withstand crises but also grow stronger and develop after overcoming challenges. National resilience is highly dependent on regional resilience.
“When a region is paralysed by a disaster, the impact will be directly felt on the supply chain, economic stability, and even public services nationally,” he said.
Therefore, through this PKN, participants are equipped with capabilities in four main aspects: cross-sector coordination for post-disaster recovery, transformation of risk-based rehabilitation and reconstruction governance, post-disaster public service innovation, and strengthening accountability and transparency in resource management during the recovery period.
Meanwhile, the Head of the Centre for Learning and Performance Management Policy Strategy (Pusjar SKMK) of LAN RI, Said Fadhil, reported that PKN Level II Batch XXV is attended by 63 participants from various agencies, including the Ministry of Immigration and Corrections, the Ministry of Forestry, the Supreme Court, the Aceh Provincial Government, and several district governments in Aceh and North Sumatra.
The training will last for 923 lesson hours, equivalent to 107 days, using a blended learning method that combines classical and distance learning. The programme is scheduled to run from 14 July to 20 November 2026.
