Bandarlampung (ANTARA) — Lampung Deputy Governor Jihan Nurlela stated that 1,886 citizens participated in the 2026 Lampung Free Holiday Travel Programme, which utilises both train and bus transportation.

“Today we officially dispatched 1,886 participants in the Free Holiday Travel Programme of Lampung Provincial Government (Pemprov) for 2026 from Tanjung Karang Railway Station,” said Deputy Governor Jihan Nurlela in Bandarlampung on Monday.

She noted that the free holiday travel programme demonstrates Pemprov Lampung’s sustained commitment to facilitating residents who wish to celebrate Eid al-Fitr in their hometowns annually.

“Unlike previous years which only utilised train transportation, in 2026 Pemprov Lampung is also providing bus transportation. Thus we should be grateful for the expansion of transportation mode coverage in this free holiday travel programme,” she said.

She expressed hope that all holiday travellers would reach their destinations safely and celebrate Eid al-Fitr with joy together with their families.

“I hope the holiday travellers have a smooth journey, enjoy comfort, carry out their travel properly and reunite with their families in good health,” said Lampung Deputy Governor Jihan Nurlela.

According to her, the free holiday travel programme does not utilise Local Budget Allocation (APBD) funds, but rather operates through collaboration and participation from various parties, including state-owned enterprises and the private sector.
