The Lampung Provincial Government has urged all community elements to use the occasion of Idul Adha 1447 AH as a spiritual moment to strengthen values of sacrifice, sincerity, and social solidarity. This spirit of mutual cooperation is seen as key to sustaining development and maintaining economic stability in Bumi Ruwa Jurai.

Governor Rahmat Mirzani Djausal emphasised the importance of drawing lessons from the stories of Prophet Ibrahim and Prophet Ismail. ‘From the stories of Ibrahim and Ismail, may peace be upon them, we learn the meaning of sacrifice, sincerity, and obedience in the process of faith, leading to blessings and honour,’ he said during the Idul Adha prayer at Al-Bakrie Grand Mosque on Wednesday, 27 May 2026, alongside Lampung Provincial Forkopimda members.

The governor stated these values must be implemented concretely to maintain unity and drive regional progress. Strong government-community synergy has yielded positive outcomes for macroeconomic resilience and a conducive security climate in Lampung Province.

Regarding regional development programmes, the Lampung Provincial Government reaffirmed its commitment to addressing basic community needs through infrastructure projects, improved education quality, optimal healthcare services, and strengthened agricultural sector.

‘The Lampung Provincial Government is committed to controlling inflation to safeguard purchasing power,’ the governor said. ‘We ensure the availability and stable prices of essential goods. Alhamdulillah, Lampung’s economy remains well-managed.’

The provincial government also expressed gratitude for the central government’s attention. This year’s Qurban event saw Lampung receive 16 sacrificial cattle donations from President Prabowo Subianto, distributed evenly across 15 regencies and cities and the province. The aid is expected to strengthen community ties and benefit the wider public.

The governor called on attendees to pray for the safety of Lampung and Indonesian pilgrims performing Hajj in the holy land. ‘May Allah grant health, safety, smoothness in performing all rituals, and a return as mabrur hajj and mabruroh hajjah,’ he said.

The Idul Adha prayer at Al-Bakrie Grand Mosque proceeded solemnly, attended by Lampung’s provincial secretary, vertical agency heads, senior officials, MUI Lampung leadership, and thousands of citizens.

Following the prayer, Governor Rahmat Mirzani Djausal symbolically handed over a 1.15-tonne cattle donation from the President to Al-Bakrie Mosque for sacrifice and distribution to those in need.

The presidential cattle donation, weighing 1.15 tonnes, is intended for eligible residents around Al-Bakrie Grand Mosque. ‘I represent the government in handing over the presidential cattle to Al-Bakrie Mosque for sacrifice and distribution to those in need,’ the governor said.
