The Lampung Provincial Government has allocated a budget of Rp125 billion for 2026 to finance BPJS Health for recipients of Contribution Assistance (PBI) and Non-Wage Earners (PBPU), ensuring the stability of National Health Insurance (JKN) coverage in the region.

According to the Provincial Secretary, Marindo Kurniawan, the provincial budget for the Regional Revenue and Expenditure Budget (APBD) consistently allocates 37.5 per cent of cigarette tax revenue—amounting to nearly Rp85 billion—to pay for BPJS Health premiums for PBI participants. Additionally, the provincial government has allocated Rp40 billion for non-wage earners within the local government jurisdiction.
