Lampung Provincial Government Accelerates 2026 Road Repairs
Bandarlampung (ANTARA) - The Provincial Government of Lampung is accelerating the implementation of road infrastructure repairs in the 2026 fiscal year.
“Road development in 2026 is being carried out more quickly to address the expectations of the community. In April this year, we have already started road repair works. This is the hope of all Lampung residents,” said Lampung Governor Rahmat Mirzani Djausal in his statement in Bandarlampung on Monday.
He stated that with the acceleration of these road repair and construction works, a significant improvement in road stability across Lampung Province is targeted.
“In 2025, the provincial road stability percentage is 75%. Through acceleration in 2026, we will build nearly 200 kilometres of roads with a target to achieve a provincial road stability rate of 86%,” he said.
“Currently, road stability in Central Lampung Regency is already at 89%. And we target to reach 98% by the end of 2026,” he added.
According to him, building road infrastructure alone is not sufficient, so efforts from all parties are also needed to ensure that the built roads remain in good condition in the long term.
There are three main factors causing road damage in the region that must be addressed immediately: poor drainage conditions, excessive vehicle loads, and low road construction quality.
