Bandarlampung (ANTARA) - The Lampung High Prosecutor’s Office (Kejati) has affirmed it will monitor the Free Nutritious Meal (MBG) programme in schools across the province. “Our direct presence in the field regarding the MBG Programme is a form of our commitment to overseeing the implementation of this national priority programme and ensuring its execution runs smoothly,” said Head of the Lampung High Prosecutor’s Office, Danang Suryo Wibowo, in Bandarlampung on Tuesday. He stated that direct monitoring of the MBG programme at several schools had been carried out since the first day of teaching and learning activities alongside the Governor of Lampung to ensure President Prabowo’s programme runs according to directives. “On this second day, we, together with the Bandarlampung City Government, are also conducting direct monitoring of the MBG Programme in schools. We will continue this gradually to schools in all regencies/cities across Lampung Province,” said the Head of the High Prosecutor’s Office. “In addition to monitoring, the Prosecutor’s Office and local government also want to show the state’s presence in providing services and ensuring that the public, especially students, benefit from the government-run programme,” he said. Meanwhile, Bandarlampung Mayor Eva Dwiana said the city government, together with the High Prosecutor’s Office and the District Prosecutor’s Office, visited several schools to monitor whether the MBG Programme was running well. “Alhamdulillah, we also tasted the food served earlier, and much of it was delicious, so we hope this programme will be even better in the future,” she said.
