Lampung Police Arrest Gang Members Who Shot Officer, One Suspect Dies

The Lampung Police have arrested a group of criminals who shot a police officer, Bripka Arya. During the arrest operation, one suspect died after attempting to violently resist the officers.

The Head of Public Relations of the Lampung Police stated that the pursuit was carried out intensively after the shooting incident that injured Bripka Arya while he was on duty. Based on the results of the investigation and field tracking, officers managed to identify the suspects’ hideout.

When the arrest was about to be carried out, the suspects tried to escape and opened fire on the officers. The dangerous situation for personnel in the field forced the joint team to take firm and measured action.

“One suspect was forced to be dealt with firmly and died after being involved in a shootout with officers. Meanwhile, the other suspects were successfully secured for further investigation,” said a representative of the Lampung Police.

Regarding the condition of Bripka Arya, the police confirmed that the victim is currently undergoing intensive medical treatment. His condition is reported to be stabilising after receiving emergency treatment for the gunshot wounds he suffered.

The Lampung Police stated that they will not give space to street criminals, especially those who use firearms and endanger the safety of the public and officers. The police also appealed to the public to remain vigilant and immediately report any suspicious activity in their surroundings.
