Lampung Governor: Five road sections in West Lampung to be completed by year-end

Lampung Governor Rahmat Mirzani Djausal is targeting the completion of five road sections in West Lampung Regency, with a total length of approximately 112.9 kilometres and a budget of around Rp45 billion, by December 2026. “The road construction in West Lampung covers five road sections. Current progress has reached 20 per cent of the total 112.9 kilometres, and it is targeted for completion in December 2026,” he said in a statement received in Bandarlampung on Thursday. He noted that four of the road sections under construction are located in Bandar Negeri Suoh (BNS) District, and one section is on the border between West Lampung and South Sumatra in Suoh. “Suoh and BNS have extraordinary potential in the agricultural sector, such as rice, cocoa, coffee, bananas, and coconuts. For this reason, the Lampung Provincial Government is paying special attention to infrastructure improvements so that the distribution of agricultural products runs smoothly,” he said. “With improved infrastructure, it is hoped that it will be easier for the community to distribute their agricultural products, thereby increasing their prosperity.” Meanwhile, West Lampung Regent Parosil Mabsus stated that BNS and Suoh Districts are strategic agricultural producing areas, including rice, cocoa, coffee, and coconuts. “This location is important in supporting the Food Self-Sufficiency programme launched by President Prabowo Subianto. So, this road repair is indeed eagerly awaited by the community there, because so far the distribution of agricultural products has been hampered by less than optimal access,” he said. “This is a tangible form of the government’s commitment to improving community welfare. Therefore, we invite the residents of BNS and Suoh to support and safeguard this development.”
