Lampung Governor Establishes Joint Task Force to Ensure Smooth Homecoming Traffic Flow
Lampung (ANTARA) — Lampung Governor Rahmat Mirzani Djausal has stated that his administration has established a Joint Task Force to ensure the smooth and safe flow of Lebaran homecoming and return traffic in 2026.
“We from the Lampung Provincial Government have coordinated with the police and created a Joint Task Force to comprehensively ensure services and security for homebound travellers,” said Governor Rahmat Mirzani Djausal at Bakauheni Port, South Lampung, on Monday.
He explained that his administration has also held major coordination meetings with all relevant parties to improve the service system at the port, including queue management, ship departure systems, and passenger comfort.
Additionally, the Lampung Provincial Government has instructed all mosques along the migration routes used by homebound travellers to remain open 24 hours.
“We have also instructed that all mosques located along the homecoming routes be activated and opened 24 hours. We have also appealed to mosque administrators to welcome and provide resting places for homebound travellers,” he said.
He urged the public to remain vigilant and cautious, follow field officer instructions so that the 2026 Lebaran homecoming can proceed safely and smoothly.
“I appeal to those travelling home for Lebaran to always be careful, maintain their health and ensure their vehicles are in good condition,” he said.
