Lampung Governor Accompanies President Prabowo to Open HIPMI XVIII National Conference

Lampung Governor Rahmat Mirzani Djausal and Deputy Governor Jihan Nurlela accompanied the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Prabowo Subianto, as he officially opened the 18th National Conference of the Central Board of the Indonesian Young Entrepreneurs Association (HIPMI). The event, which brought together thousands of young entrepreneur delegates from across the country, was held at the Novotel Hotel Ballroom in Bandar Lampung on Wednesday, 10 June 2026. The 18th National Conference also coincided with HIPMI’s 54th anniversary on 10 June 2026. Ministers from the Merah Putih Cabinet also attended the opening, including Minister of State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi, Minister of Housing and Settlement Areas Maruarar Sirait, Foreign Minister Sugiono, Health Minister Budi Gunadi Sadikin, and Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Bahlil Lahadalia, along with Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya. In his address, President Prabowo Subianto stressed the essential essence of nationalism in driving the national economy. The President underlined that the economic progress of a modern nation can never be achieved independently without strong national commitment from its business actors. ‘The breath of HIPMI’s birth is nationalism. In truth, there is no progress for a nation without nationalism, there really is none,’ President Prabowo told HIPMI cadres from across Indonesia. Prabowo also invited all young entrepreneurs to reflect deeply on the implementation of the Pancasila economic system, particularly Article 33 of the 1945 Constitution. According to Prabowo, the current government is paying serious attention to strengthening the economic structure at the grassroots level and correcting anomalies in financing access that have been burdensome for super-micro businesses and MSMEs in the regions. Regarding the strategic direction of national development towards Golden Indonesia 2045, President Prabowo reaffirmed the central government’s commitment to accelerating the commodity-based downstream industrialisation programme and achieving energy self-sufficiency within the next three years. This step is considered strategic so that the domestic market is fully controlled and enjoyed by domestic industrial strength. ‘All our commodities will be processed and will become industries in Indonesia. This is an opportunity for young entrepreneurs to rise, because we do not want to just be a market for other nations. We want the Indonesian market to be enjoyed by the sons and daughters of Indonesia,’ he said. To face the situation of global geopolitical uncertainty, President Prabowo called on the national business community to close ranks under the banner of national collaborative spirit, through the principle of Indonesia Incorporated. ‘We compete not to kill each other; we compete to lift each other up, compete to strengthen each other,’ he stated. Prior to attending the Opening of the XVIII HIPMI National Conference, Governor Rahmat Mirzani Djausal accompanied President Prabowo Subianto to inaugurate the KH Muhammad Thohir Krui Regional General Hospital in Pesisir Barat Regency. The presence of the hospital is a tangible manifestation of the government’s commitment to delivering equitable health services to coastal areas and remote regions in Lampung Province. The construction of KH Muhammad Thohir Regional General Hospital is part of the central government’s accelerated hospital development programme, initiated following a proposal from the Lampung Governor so that the people of Pesisir Barat and surrounding areas can obtain closer, faster, and higher quality healthcare access.
