Lampung Attorney General's Office Names Former Governor Arinal as Corruption Suspect in PI Funds Case

Observations at the scene showed Arinal exiting the examination room wearing a black shirt and a pink detention vest. He appeared downcast as he was escorted by officers to the detention vehicle. Lampung’s Chief of the Attorney General’s Office, Danang Suryo Wibowo, stated that investigators have obtained sufficient evidence to designate Arinal as a suspect in the corruption of PI funds. “Investigators have examined Mr. ARD and have sufficient evidence to name him as a suspect,” Danang told reporters, as reported by detikSumbagsel on Tuesday (28/4/2026). Following his designation as a suspect, Arinal was immediately detained at Way Huie Detention Center in Bandar Lampung. “Subsequently, Mr. ARD has been detained at Way Huie Detention Center in Bandar Lampung,” he added.
