Bandarlampung - The Lampung High Prosecutor’s Office (Kejati Lampung) has executed a substitute fine amounting to Rp7.8 billion from Tujuanta Ginting, a convict in the corruption case involving the construction of the Terbanggi Besar-Pematang Panggang-Kayu Agung (Tol Terpeka) toll road during the 2017-2019 period.

“The execution of the substitute fine was carried out by the Public Prosecutor at the Mesuji District Prosecutor’s Office based on the decision of the Corruption Court at the Tanjung Karang District Court Number 58/Pid.Sus-TPK/2025/PN.TJK dated 25 February 2026, which has gained legal force,” said Assistant Special Prosecutor (Aspidsus) of Kejati Lampung, Budi Nugraha, in Bandarlampung on Thursday.

He stated that in this execution, the prosecutor transferred the funds from the Other Government Account (RPL) of the Mesuji District Prosecutor’s Office to the account of PT Waskita Karya (Persero) Tbk.

“The total value of the substitute fine deposited amounts to Rp7,811,514,114. This case ensnared the convict Tujuanta Ginting, son of Sipat Ginting, who was proven to have committed corruption in the Tol Terpeka construction activities, particularly in the work on STA. 100+200 to STA. 112+200 in Lampung Province,” he said.

He emphasised that this successful execution serves as proof of the prosecutors’ seriousness in safeguarding state finances. In addition to providing legal certainty, this step aims to restore state losses to the maximum extent.

“This is our commitment to resolving corruption cases objectively, professionally, and accountably, while maximising the recovery of state losses,” he said.

He further stated that the Prosecutor’s Office hopes this state economic recovery can have a positive impact on public prosperity, especially for the people of Lampung Province.

“We are committed to continuing transparency in handling corruption cases. And we are grateful to be able to return the state losses from this corruption amounting to Rp7.8 billion,” he said.
