Lamongan Supports Electrical Infrastructure Development, Guarantees Investor Ease
The Lamongan Regency Government in East Java supports the development of electrical infrastructure to guarantee investment ease, ensure adequate electricity supply, and drive regional economic growth.
This step represents the Lamongan Regency Government’s commitment to creating a conducive business environment in the region. This was conveyed by Lamongan Regent Yuhronur Efendi when receiving an audience from the General Manager of PLN’s Central Development Unit for East Java and Bali, M. Fathol Arifin, at the Regent’s Office in Lamongan on Thursday evening, 26 February.
The meeting discussed electrical infrastructure development plans that form part of the National Strategic Project in Lamongan Regency. The project aims to enhance the reliability of East Java’s electrical system and support investment inflow through adequate electricity supply.
“The Lamongan Regency Government is optimistic that strengthening energy infrastructure will be one of the important foundations in supporting investment growth and community welfare in the future,” said the Regent, commonly known as Pak Yes.
The scope of development includes Extension of 150 kV Lamongan Substation (GI), construction of 150 kV High-Voltage Transmission Lines (SUTT) Ngimbang–Lamongan, and Extension of 500 kV Ngimbang Transmission Network (GITET). This development is expected to strengthen the electrical grid network system whilst maintaining continuous energy supply for communities and the industrial sector.
As a form of support, the Regent stated that the Lamongan Regency Government is committed to providing comprehensive facilitation. These efforts aim to accelerate project implementation, starting from licensing and administrative support. This includes providing spatial data and information access, as well as field access assistance. Additionally, the Lamongan Regency Government also supports social and public communication aspects through community outreach and maintaining regional conduciveness during the development phases.
Synchronisation of regional development programmes as well as coordination of security and order are also conducted to ensure the project runs effectively and smoothly. Through collaboration between the local government and PLN, this electrical infrastructure development is expected to increase the reliability of the regional electrical system.
“This will certainly have a positive impact on economic growth and sustainable development in Lamongan Regency,” he concluded.
