Lamongan Strengthens Tourism as a Driver of Community Economy
Lamongan Regent Yuhronur Efendi introduced a number of the region’s tourism potentials to Central Lombok Vice Regent Nursiah during a meeting at the Lokatantra Pavilion Office on Wednesday (12/8).
During the meeting, Yuhronur explained that Lamongan has a variety of tourist destinations that are continuously being developed. These potentials include religious, marine, cultural, and nature-based tourism, as well as a growing creative economy sector within the community.
According to Yuhronur, tourism development is not solely aimed at increasing visitor numbers but is also intended to have a direct impact on the community’s economy. “Lamongan has many tourism potentials that we continue to develop, not only as destinations but also as a driver of the community’s economy,” he said.
The visit by the Central Lombok Vice Regent also served as an opportunity for both regions to strengthen ties and exchange experiences in managing regional potential. Yuhronur stated that inter-regional collaboration and the exchange of best practices are essential to accelerate the development of the tourism sector. He expressed hope that communication between regional governments can be continuously strengthened so that tourism development can enhance the appeal of destinations while opening up economic opportunities for the community.
