Lamongan Regency Building Project Corruption Case Causes Rp35.7 Billion State Loss
Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has disclosed that an alleged corruption case involving the construction of the Lamongan Regency Government Building in East Java, for the 2017–2019 fiscal year, has caused state losses of up to Rp35.7 billion.
“Based on expert calculations, there has been a loss to state finances caused by the unlawful acts we previously mentioned, with a value of at least Rp35.7 billion,” stated the Acting Director of Investigations at the KPK, Achmad Taufik Husein, at the KPK Merah Putih Building, Jakarta, on Tuesday.
Taufik explained that the state suffered losses due to deviations in the construction of the Lamongan Regency Government Building, such as work volumes and quality not aligning with the terms stipulated in the contract.
“The state loss of approximately Rp35 billion is the result of calculating the deficit in volume and several materials that differ from the contract and what was actually implemented on-site,” he further clarified.
Previously, on 15 September 2023, the KPK announced an investigation into the alleged corruption regarding the construction of the Lamongan Regency Government Building for the 2017–2019 fiscal year and identified suspects whose identities had not yet been released.
On 8 July 2025, the KPK announced that there were four suspects in the case.
The anti-corruption agency subsequently stated that it was calculating the actual amount of state financial loss in collaboration with the Financial and Development Supervisory Agency (BPKP) and the Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB).
On 29 January 2026, the KPK announced that it had received the state financial loss calculation report for the case from the BPKP.
On 2 June 2026, the KPK revealed the identities of the four suspects. They are the commitment-making official and Head of the Building and Environmental Arrangement Section at the Lamongan Department of Public Housing, Residential Areas, and Spatial Planning (PRKPCK), Mokh. Sukiman (SKM), and the Director of PT Agung Pradana Putra, Ahmad Abdillah (ABD).
Additionally, the suspects include the Project Management Committee for the Lamongan Regency Government Building construction for the 2017–2019 fiscal year and Director of CV Absolute, Muhammad Yanuar Marzuki (MYM), and the General Manager of Regional Division III for 2015–2019, Herman Dwi Haryanto (HDH).
However, the KPK has only detained Sukiman, Abdillah, and Herman, while Yanuar will be processed at a later date.
