Lambung Mangkurat University strengthens entrepreneurship ecosystem to produce innovative young business leaders
Banjarmasin (ANTARA) — Lambung Mangkurat University (ULM) is strengthening its entrepreneurship ecosystem in an effort to produce innovative young business leaders through the Rocket Incubation by YABN 2026 programme.
“A total of 47 ULM students receiving Indonesia Bright Future Leader (IBFL) scholarships are participating in the entrepreneurship capacity-building programme,” said ULM Vice-Rector for Cooperation, Public Relations and Information Systems, Dr Yusuf Azis, in Banjarmasin on Sunday.
He explained that Rocket Incubation 2026 is the result of collaboration between ULM and the Yayasan Amanah Bangun Negeri (YABN), working together with Yayasan Indonesia Setara and Sandination Academy.
Yusuf emphasised the importance of collaboration between educational institutions and incubation ecosystems in creating young entrepreneurs who are ready to compete.
Under the programme, students are given comprehensive practical entrepreneurship experience through intensive mentoring, ensuring they acquire not only theoretical knowledge but also applicable business skills.
Yusuf noted that the programme is also aligned with efforts to drive national economic growth, which is targeted to reach eight per cent per annum.
“It is from the hands of the young generation that we hope future national entrepreneurs will emerge,” he said.
Rocket Incubation runs for six months with a structured scheme of mentoring, monitoring and evaluation. The programme is designed to create a generation of young entrepreneurs who are adaptive, resilient, and capable of delivering economic and social impact.
