Lalamove Holds Driver Academy to Strengthen Financial Stability and Additional Income Opportunities for Driver Partners
The ability to manage income is a crucial aspect for online motorcycle taxi and delivery partners. In response to this need, understanding financial management and additional income opportunities has become essential preparation for long-term financial requirements.
Recognising this need, the Managing Director of Lalamove Indonesia, Andito B. Prakoso, stated that the company will continue its efforts to expand partner empowerment through the Lalamove Driver Academy (LLDA).
One such initiative is the Financial Resilience Workshop, titled “More Profit, More Resilient: Financial Resilience for Exemplary Driver Partners”. The session was attended by 50 driver partners from the Greater Jakarta area and featured Certified Financial Planner, Safir Senduk, as the keynote speaker.
“Through the Lalamove Driver Academy, we want to provide learning that is relevant to our partners’ needs, not only to support their activities on the platform but also to help them manage their income and prepare for the future,” said Andting in a statement on Wednesday, 30 September 2026.
He explained that the Financial Resilience Workshop was designed to equip partners with an understanding of financial awareness, financial management, opportunity exploration, and the courage to act. The material covered how to distinguish between turnover, operational costs, and profit; how to allocate income; how to separate personal and business finances; and how to build emergency funds.
In addition to financial management, participants were also encouraged to recognise the potential of their existing skills, assets, and networks to be developed into additional income opportunities.
“This approach is expected to help partners build an entrepreneurial mindset and take gradual steps according to their individual circumstances,” said Andito.
The workshop was structured through educational sessions, practical exercises, simulations, and assessments to help participants apply the learning to their daily activities. Participants were also guided to determine their personal financial goals and identify steps that could be implemented following the workshop.
Certified Financial Planner, Safir Senduk, explained that financial resilience is not just about how much income is earned, but also how that income is managed and prepared for the future.
For driver partners with dynamic incomes, he noted that the ability to manage cash flow, separate personal and business finances, and build emergency funds is vital.
