Labour Minister Yassierli Urges Youth to Embody Pancasila in Daily Life
Labour Minister Yassierli has called on all segments of society, particularly the youth as guardians of the future, to make Pancasila a living ideology.
‘The noble values of Pancasila must not merely serve as office wall decorations or historical text, but must be implemented in daily life,’ he said in a written statement received by Kompas.com on Monday, 1 June 2026.
Yassierli made the remarks while presiding over the Pancasila Birth Anniversary ceremony themed ‘Pancasila: Unifier of the Nation, Foundation of World Peace’ at the Ministry of Manpower (Kemnaker) plaza in Jakarta on Monday.
He emphasised that the Pancasila Birth Anniversary is not merely an annual ceremony, but a moment for reflection to ensure the flame of Pancasila remains burning in every Indonesian’s soul.
These values are not only crucial for Indonesia, with its 17,000 islands and hundreds of ethnic groups, but also form the foundation for peaceful coexistence amid global challenges.
‘Pancasila is a guiding star that has proven its resilience. It also serves as our moral anchor in confronting global turbulence, from technological disruption to geopolitical dynamics,’ Yassierli explained.
Therefore, he urged all parties to combat all forms of intolerance and radicalism that could undermine national harmony.
Furthermore, Yassierli directed all Kemnaker staff to uphold and implement Pancasila’s values in every aspect of their duties.
