Labour Minister Yassierli stated that his ministry has just received a letter from the Finance Ministry regarding Phase III efficiency measures. The efficiency letter was received on 1 April 2026.

This was conveyed by Yassierli during a working meeting with Commission IX of the House of Representatives at the parliamentary complex in Senayan, Central Jakarta, on Thursday, 9 April 2026.

“We also wish to report that we have just received a letter from the Finance Ministry dated 1 April stating that there is a budget efficiency measure sourced from pure rupiah funds,” said Yassierli during the meeting.

He explained that there is a reallocation from the Budget Agency of the State Treasury (BA BUN) of the Finance Ministry amounting to Rp181,826,183,000.

The amount consists of Special Output Details (RO) of Rp122,163,948,000 and results from budget efficiency identification by the Finance Ministry of Rp59,662,235,000.

“Reallocation from the Finance Ministry’s BA BUN of Rp181 billion in budget, comprising Rp122 billion from special RO and Rp59 billion from efficiency identification by the Finance Ministry,” Yassierli stated.

Nevertheless, Yassierli emphasised that his ministry cannot yet provide further details on which programmes will be affected by this Phase III efficiency. He said the Labour Ministry is still in the process of reviewing it.

“We are still in the process of examining in detail the items that can then be made more efficient, so we cannot report on it now. Therefore, the budget allocation we have submitted is still the pre-Phase III efficiency allocation from the Finance Ministry,” he explained.

Yassierli reported that the Finance Ministry’s budget allocation for 2026 is Rp5,999,626,039,000 (trillion). As of 8 April 2026, the budget realisation, he said, has reached 31.87 percent.

“As of 8 April, we wish to report the realisation of the budget, which currently averages 31.87 percent across each Echelon I unit, with the caveat that this realisation does not yet account for the Phase III efficiency we have just received from the Finance Ministry,” Yassierli revealed.
