Bekasi – The Minister of Manpower of the Republic of Indonesia, Yassierli, has given companies the freedom to implement work from home (WFH) policies on specific days. “We are giving companies the freedom to determine WFH days, and this is in the nature of a recommendation,” Yassierli said when met at the Bekasi City Vocational Training and Productivity Centre (BBPVP) on Wednesday (8/4/2026). “Because we realise that each company has its own unique characteristics,” Yassierli added. According to him, there are several sectors that do not allow for WFH implementation, particularly those directly related to public services and vital sectors. While providing flexibility, Yassierli emphasised that the government still places industrial and economic growth as the top priority. “So WFH is interpreted as how we adapt to the current developments,” he said. “We never ignore economic growth and industrial growth; that must remain our concern,” Yassierli stated.
