Jakarta — The Minister of Manpower (Menaker) Yassierli has declared the Ministry’s readiness to strengthen synergy with the People’s Housing Savings Management Agency (BP Tapera) to realise an adequate housing programme for workers and labourers.

“The Ministry of Manpower is prepared to assist BP Tapera in comprehensively remapping programme requirements, ranging from funding needs, grand design, location, to housing preferences of workers,” stated Menaker Yassierli in a statement issued in Jakarta on Friday.

The Minister further noted that the Ministry had previously supported BP Tapera’s socialisation activities across 10 locations last year.

Yassierli assessed that there remains untapped potential that BP Tapera can continue to optimise. Consequently, the Ministry is encouraging BP Tapera to expand partnerships with various stakeholders to ensure that workers’ aspirations regarding the programme are genuinely fulfilled.

The Minister also announced that in 2025, the worker and labourer segment became the largest group in BP Tapera’s programme achievements.

“Alhamdulillah, based on 2025 achievements, the largest segment of participants comes from the labour sector,” said Yassierli.

Nevertheless, he continues to encourage workers who have not yet utilised the programme to maximise their participation.

Additionally, he is promoting cross-ministerial and inter-agency collaboration to realise adequate and affordable housing for workers. This includes a Committee meeting on the implementation of BP Tapera’s 2026 programme and activities.

The meeting was attended by the Minister of Finance (Menkeu) Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa, Minister of Housing and Spatial Planning (PKP) Maruarar Sirait, Acting Head and Deputy Chair of the Financial Services Authority (OJK) Board of Commissioners Friderica Widyasari Dewi, and BP Tapera leadership.
