Minister of Manpower (Menaker) Yassierli stated that his ministry will further strengthen cross-ministerial collaboration as one of the efforts to address the third phase of budget efficiency by the Ministry of Finance (Kemenkeu).

“So we must first comb through it, but we are ready. So that means (budget efficiency), once again, forces us to be more innovative. Specifically for our strategy to overcome it, as I mentioned earlier in front of Commission IX, we are building cross-ministerial collaboration,” said the Menaker when met at the Senayan Parliamentary Complex, Jakarta, on Thursday.

He also exemplified how the Ministry of Manpower (Kemnaker) has implemented several pilot projects and training in collaboration with other ministries/institutions as a step to successfully implement government programmes.

Some training collaborations and pilot projects already carried out by Kemnaker include those with the Ministry of Forestry (Kemenhut), Ministry of Cooperatives (Kemenkop), and the National Nutrition Agency (BGN).

“So schemes like this. We have training centres, we have instructors, we have certification schemes, then those technical ministries have programmes, and there is also shared financing there,” said Yassierli.

In the working meeting with Commission IX of the House of Representatives (DPR RI), the Menaker said they are currently reviewing the budget allocation that can be made more efficient.

“We also want to convey that we have just received a letter from the Ministry of Finance dated 1 April stating that there is budget efficiency from pure rupiah sources,” said Yassierli.

Based on the Minister of Finance’s Letter S-181/MK.03/2026 dated 1 April 2026, the Kemnaker budget sourced from pure rupiah (RM) will undergo efficiency (shift to BA BUN Kemenkeu) of Rp181,826,183,000, consisting of Special Output Details (RO) of Rp122,163,948,000 and the results of budget efficiency identification carried out by Kemenkeu of Rp59,662,235,000.

Meanwhile, for the realisation of the Kemnaker budget as of 8 April 2026, Yassierli said it has reached 31.87 percent.

In addition, the Menaker said that budgets that can also be made more efficient include restrictions on official travel, meetings, and other more detailed administrative activities.

“If others, perhaps related to meetings and so on, of course our spirit now is to adapt by doing it online, we will optimise that,” said the Menaker.
