Labour Day: Transjakarta routes 1H and 1N temporarily suspended

Jakarta (ANTARA) - Transjakarta buses on route 1H (Tanah Abang-Stasiun Gondangdia) and 1N (Tanah Abang-Blok M) are temporarily not operating due to International Labour Day commemorative activities at several points, particularly in the Monumen Nasional (Monas) and DKI Jakarta City Hall areas.

Head of Public Relations and CSR Department at Transjakarta, Ayu Wardhani, stated that the temporary suspension is part of operational service adjustments on several corridors and routes.

“These adjustments are made following road closures and traffic density on several main roads, such as Jalan Medan Merdeka Selatan, Thamrin, Sudirman, to the Gambir and Tugu Tani areas,” said Ayu in Jakarta on Friday.

In addition to those routes, corridor 2 (Pulogadung-Monumen Nasional) and route 2A (Pulogadung-Rawa Buaya via Balai Kota) are not serving Balai Kota and Gambir halts.

Meanwhile, route 6A (Ragunan-Balai Kota via Kuningan) and 6B (Ragunan-Balai Kota via Semanggi) have been shortened to the Tosari halt.

Ayu explained that these service adjustments are implemented to ensure operations continue while prioritising passenger safety and comfort amid traffic dynamics during the Labour Day commemorations.

“We urge passengers to adjust their travel plans and follow the official updates we continuously provide,” Ayu stated.

Meanwhile, Polda Metro Jaya reported that traffic in front of the United States Embassy on Jalan Merdeka Selatan towards Patung Kuda is congested, so motorists are advised to avoid the areas around Monas as the Labour Day commemorative activities are still ongoing.
