Labour Day Holiday 2026: Odd-Even Jakarta Not Applicable on 1 May

1 May is a national holiday to commemorate Labour Day. In connection with the 1 May 2026 holiday, there will be no odd-even restriction in Jakarta.

“In connection with the National Labour Day on 1 May 2026, the odd-even provisions on various roads in Jakarta are CANCELLED,” stated the DKI Jakarta Transportation Agency on its Instagram account (@dishubdkijakarta).

The suspension of the odd-even restriction in Jakarta on 1 May 2026 is based on:

  • The Joint Ministerial Decree of the Minister of Religious Affairs, Minister of Manpower, and Minister of State Apparatus Empowerment and Bureaucratic Reform of the Republic of Indonesia Number 1497 of 2025, Number 1497 of 2025, Number 2 of 2025, and Number 5 of 2025 concerning National Holidays and Collective Leave 2026; and

  • DKI Jakarta Governor Regulation Number 88 of 2019, Article 3 Paragraph 3: Traffic restrictions using the odd-even system shall not apply on Saturdays, Sundays, and NATIONAL HOLIDAYS as stipulated by Presidential Decree.
