'labalaba.com' launched

JAKARTA (JP): The country's Internet market welcomed a newcomer on Wednesday as PT Labalaba Interaktif Adiwara launched its new search engine portal, www.labalaba.com.

Company president Farishad Latjuba said the portal would mainly provide different sites allowing users to contribute their own short features, articles and jokes, all of which would be rated by other users through a poll.

He said the company's portal would provide various features, including free advertisement spaces, an auction section and a matchmaking service.

He said an e-commerce service was currently being prepared for users who want to buy goods through the e-store sites available on the portal. (cst)
