Kuwait's air defence system responds to missile and drone attacks

Kuwait City (ANTARA) - Kuwait’s military said on Wednesday (June 3) that its air defence system responded to missile and drone attacks targeting the country.

In a statement posted on the social media platform X, the General Staff of the Kuwaiti Armed Forces stated that its air defence units were intercepting enemy targets.

The Kuwaiti military said that the sound of explosions heard throughout the country came from the interception of their air defence system against incoming threats.

The military urged citizens to comply with safety and security instructions issued by the relevant authorities and to rely on official sources of information.

No further details have been released regarding the origin of the attack, the number of missiles or drones involved, or any potential damage or casualties.

This latest incident comes after Kuwait’s military said on Monday (June 1) that its air defence system had intercepted missiles and drones targeting the country.
