Kuwaiti Military Detects 32 Drones Launched by Iran

The Kuwaiti military stated that Iran launched 32 drones towards vital installations in the country on Thursday, amid escalating tensions between Tehran and the United States. “The drones were successfully intercepted and handled,” said Kuwaiti Ministry of Defence spokesman Saud Al-Atwan in a statement. Debris from the interception of the Iranian drones caused material damage, but resulted in no casualties. The Kuwaiti military affirmed it would remain on alert and ready to bolster national security and protect the safety of citizens and residents. Iran’s military, in the early hours of Thursday local time, stated it had launched attacks against American radar and air defence assets in Kuwait and Bahrain as part of retaliation for US strikes against Tehran. Tensions between the United States and Iran have escalated in recent days concerning the Strait of Hormuz. Both sides have launched attacks against each other despite a prior memorandum of understanding mediated by Pakistan aimed at ending the conflict and reaching a sustainable peace agreement.
