Kuwait Temporarily Closes Airspace Amid Heating Tensions in the Middle East

MOSCOW - Kuwait temporarily closed its airspace and diverted flights to several alternative airports, Al Jazeera reported. The country’s General Authority of Civil Aviation later stated that the airspace had been reopened after “the situation requiring precautionary measures was resolved,” the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) reported on Thursday. According to authorities, the situation both inside and outside Kuwait is being closely monitored to ensure the highest level of security. Regional tensions heated up again after US President Donald Trump on Wednesday accused Tehran of stalling negotiations. Meanwhile, Iran’s Tasnim News Agency, citing a military source, reported that the Iranian Armed Forces are on alert for a possible US attack, and if one occurs, Tehran will strike US targets in the Middle East. Following US strikes against Iran, the Islamic Republic launched a missile attack on the US Harir Airbase in northern Iraq, Iran’s Nour News reported.
