Kuwait’s Defence Ministry reported the incident of several US fighter aircraft crashing in its territory on Monday morning, 2 March. The ministry confirmed that despite the incident, all aircraft crew members survived safely.

A spokesperson for Kuwait’s Defence Ministry, in an official statement through the national news agency KUNA, confirmed that all crew members were rescued. “Several US fighter aircraft crashed this morning. We confirm that all crew members were safe,” the spokesperson stated.

Immediately following the incident, local authorities launched a search and rescue (SAR) operation. The crews were successfully evacuated and immediately transported to a hospital for medical evaluation and treatment. Their condition is currently reported to be stable.

Regarding the cause of the crash, the ministry stated that an investigation is ongoing. The Kuwaiti government is also maintaining direct coordination with US military forces to investigate conditions surrounding the incident location and implement joint technical procedures.

Previously, video footage circulating on social media on Monday morning showed the moment a US fighter jet crashed in northern Kuwait. The locations where the aircraft crashed are now under strict security for further investigation purposes.

Kuwait is among the Middle Eastern countries where American military bases have been present in the region, which was targeted by Iranian operations.
