Kuwait Border Posts and Offshore Oil Platform Attacked

Kuwait’s Defence Ministry has stated that three border posts were attacked during a fresh exchange of strikes between the United States and Iran. The attacks also hit an offshore oil platform in Kuwait. “Three land border posts in the north of the country were targeted in a cowardly attack, resulting in material damage,” the statement said, without specifying the origin of the attacks, as reported by AFP on Monday (13/7/2026). The Kuwaiti Defence Ministry said an oil drilling facility was also targeted by the enemy. One worker was injured as a result of this attack. “An offshore drilling platform belonging to the Kuwait Oil Company was targeted by an enemy drone, resulting in material damage and injury to a worker,” it said.
