Kurban Distribution Still Uneven, This Programme Targets Eastern Indonesia to Africa
REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA – The distribution of sacrificial animals in several regions remains uneven, particularly in eastern Indonesia and several countries in Africa. Ahead of Iduladha 2026, various efforts are being made to expand the reach of kurban benefits so that they are more felt by communities in areas with limited access.
One such effort is being carried out by Human Initiative through the Flash Sale Kurban 2026 programme. This programme is designed to encourage public participation while expanding kurban distribution to areas in need.
The programme runs from 27 April to 1 May 2026. During this period, the public can participate with a scheme of Rp1.7 million for 1/7 of a cow weighing around 200 kilograms. Kurban distribution is focused on eastern Indonesia and several countries in Africa.
Human Initiative ensures that the entire kurban implementation process runs in accordance with sharia, from animal selection, health checks, to distribution to beneficiaries. This process is carried out to maintain the quality of the kurban as well as public trust.
Leader of the Kurban Programme at Human Initiative, M. Rijalul Afif, said that this initiative is part of efforts to expand public access to kurban without reducing the quality of its implementation.
“This programme we present to open wider access for the public to perform kurban, while ensuring its benefits reach areas that have previously had limited access,” he stated.
He added that early participation allows for more optimal distribution planning, so the impact can be felt more widely by beneficiaries.
In addition to addressing distribution challenges, this programme also provides an alternative for the public who wish to perform kurban with more thorough planning. The offered scheme is expected to reach more segments of society to continue fulfilling the kurban worship.
The expansion of distribution to rarely touched areas is hoped to strengthen the value of equity in kurban implementation. With the involvement of various parties, the benefits of kurban are not only concentrated in certain areas, but can be felt more evenly to regions and countries in need.
