KUR Realisation Reaches Rp159.8 Trillion for 2.5 Million MSMEs

The Ministry of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) recorded that the realisation of People’s Business Credit (KUR) distribution as of 12 July 2026 had reached Rp159.8 trillion, or 54.2 per cent of the national target of Rp295 trillion. Speaking at a hearing with House of Representatives Commission VII in Jakarta on Monday, Ministry Secretary Loto Srinaita Ginting stated that the financing had been distributed to approximately 2.5 million MSME debtors. Of that figure, 1.1 million were new debtors, representing 83.5 per cent of this year’s target, while graduation debtors totalled 511,208, or 46.2 per cent of the target. KUR distribution to the production sector reached Rp103.2 trillion, or 64.6 per cent of the target. ‘We hope it can exceed the 65 per cent target figure,’ Loto said. The government is targeting KUR distribution of Rp295 trillion this year, with 65 per cent allocated to the production sector. Additionally, the government is targeting 1.3 million new debtors and 1.1 million graduation debtors in the 2026 KUR programme. KUR is a government-subsidised financing programme aimed at expanding capital access for MSMEs with a loan ceiling of up to Rp500 million. Beyond KUR, Loto explained that the Ministry of MSMEs is also running several other programmes to broaden financing access for business actors. Through the Accelerating Capital Resources for Medium Enterprises (ACCESS) programme, the government had facilitated financing for 56 medium enterprises by 2025, with total distribution reaching Rp53.3 billion through eight partner financial institutions. Meanwhile, the Bisnis Layak Funding (BISLAF) programme, initiated by the Deputy for Small Enterprises, has assisted 200 MSMEs in obtaining funding worth Rp13.65 billion in collaboration with Inotek as a partner. Loto added that the Ministry of MSMEs is also running a financing assistance programme to support the people’s housing programme, targeting 300 MSMEs. As of the first quarter of 2026, 16 MSMEs had passed the curation process and two MSMEs had completed financial management digitalisation assistance.
