The Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs has revealed that policies easing financing schemes continue to be provided to support Indonesia’s economic growth, one of which is the People’s Business Credit (KUR). Ferry Irawan, Deputy for Coordination of SOE Management and Business Development at the Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs, stated that the total KUR ceiling allocated to productive sectors amounts to Rp340 trillion. “For KUR, the total programme credit we distribute has a ceiling of Rp340 trillion,” Ferry said during his presentation at the OJK Risk and Government Summit on Tuesday. He explained that the KUR is provided to support economic growth, job creation, and productive sectors. The Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs reported that as of 28 June, KUR disbursement to MSMEs had reached Rp147.7 trillion, or approximately 50.83% of the target. This achievement reflects the government’s commitment to continuously expanding financing access for MSMEs as one of the main drivers of the national economy. In addition to KUR, the government also provides export financing through export financing institutions and industrial credit for labour-intensive and capital-intensive sectors, including textiles, textile products, furniture, wood, and other strategic sectors.
