Jakarta (ANTARA) – Singer Kunto Aji is ready to enliven the ‘Senandung Aksara (Senara)’ programme taking place at the Jakarta Library and the Pusat Dokumentasi Sastra (PDS) HB Jassin in Central Jakarta on Friday afternoon.

Head of the Jakarta Library Services and PDS HB Jassin Operations Unit, Riska Damastika Ayuningtyas, said the Senara programme is routinely presented as a reflective space and an appreciation of literature and literacy.

“This space becomes a place where words, ideas, and sounds meet in a warm and contemplative atmosphere,” Riska said when contacted in Jakarta on Friday.

She explained that ‘Senara’ is held to provide a more lively literacy experience, while also ensuring that language and literature are not only to be read, but also felt, listened to, and interpreted together.

The ‘Senara’ programme with Kunto Aji will begin at around 2:30 pm WIB on the 4th floor of the Jakarta Library and PDS HB Jassin. The public can attend this programme free of charge, but must reserve in advance through Jaklitera due to limited quota.

The programme runs alongside the ‘Ngabuburead’ activity which has been underway since 28 February and will end on 13 March 2026.

The programme organised by Jakarta Library, in collaboration with various communities, is free of charge and features activities including playing and reading child-friendly digital books, poetry recitation, Ramadan safari, and making handicrafts.
