Kuntadi Officially Inaugurated as Jampidsus
JAKARTA — Attorney General ST Burhanuddin officially inaugurated several principal officials within the Attorney General’s Office, ranging from the position of Deputy Attorney General to the Junior Attorney General for Special Crimes (Jampidsus). The ceremony took place at the Main Building of the Attorney General’s Office in Jakarta on Friday.
Based on compiled data, Asep Nana Mulyana officially assumed the role of Deputy Attorney General. Additionally, the Attorney General inaugurated Kuntadi as Jampidsus and Leonardo Eben Ezer Simanjuntak as the Junior Attorney General for General Crimes (Jampidum). Other names inaugurated include Harli Siregar as Head of the Indonesian Attorney General’s Education and Training Agency, Patris Yusrian Jaya as Head of the Asset Recovery Agency, and Hermon Dekristo as Expert Staff to the Attorney General.
In his address, Attorney General ST Burhanuddin emphasised that this rotation is a momentum to strengthen the institution professionally and accountably. He urged the new officials to demonstrate robust leadership amidst the current legal dynamics. ‘Every inaugurated official is required to show strong leadership, maintain solidarity, and enhance public trust through competent and objective performance,’ Burhanuddin stated.
The Attorney General also issued a stern warning against leaders adopting an exclusive lifestyle or feeling as though they are in an ‘ivory tower’. He instructed his ranks to go directly into the field, listen to subordinates, and seek solutions to obstacles without compromising the institution’s dignity for personal interests.
Following the inauguration, Deputy Attorney General Asep Nana Mulyana expressed his readiness to accelerate the Attorney General’s policies. His primary focus includes achieving work plan targets and implementing the new Criminal Procedure Code (KUHAP) and Criminal Code (KUHP) across various criminal fields, including military offences. Asep added that strict supervision will be conducted together with the Junior Attorney General for Supervision to ensure all personnel in the field perform their duties in accordance with the code of ethics and applicable legal provisions, thereby meeting public expectations for law enforcement in Indonesia.
