Kuningan Regent Urges PKH Personnel to Strengthen Social Data Validity
The Regent of Kuningan, West Java, Dian Rachmat Yanuar, has requested that human resources within the Program Keluarga Harapan (PKH) strengthen the validity of social data in the region. This measure is intended to support the precision of government assistance programmes and the implementation of the ‘Sekolah Rakyat’ (People’s School) programme.
Speaking in Kuningan on Wednesday, Regent Dian stated that data quality is a critical factor in determining the success of government-led poverty alleviation programmes. He noted that social facilitators play a strategic role in assisting beneficiary families (KPM) and ensuring that social data is continuously and accurately updated.
In addition to data updates, Dian requested that PKH personnel play an active role in the success of the Sekolah Rakyat programme to ensure more children from underprivileged families can access proper education. He expressed his appreciation for the PKH social facilitators, who have now attained full-time Government Employees with Work Agreements (PPPK) status. He noted that this status serves as national recognition of the dedication shown by facilitators directly involved in various social protection programmes.
“Social facilitators must not only ensure that aid is distributed but also encourage the community to develop and become self-sufficient,” he said.
Meanwhile, the Chairperson of the Kuningan Regency PKH Team, Nanin Ernis Nurjaman, reported that the field verification rate for recipients of premium-subsidised health insurance (PBI) in the area has reached 73.69 per cent. He stated that more than 27,000 beneficiary families have been directly verified by social facilitators to ensure the accuracy of aid distribution. This verification process is a vital component in supporting accurate and sustainable poverty data updates.
“In addition to data verification, PKH personnel are also focusing on identifying potential participants for the Sekolah Rakyat programme. For the junior high school level, the number of applicants has already exceeded the available quota,” Nurjaman added.
Furthermore, the Head of the Kuningan Regency Social Affairs Office, Tatiek Ratna Mustika, added that the central government has designated Cikandang Village, Luragung District, as the site for the construction of the Sekolah Rakyat. “From the 6,475 prospective students reached, 178 students have expressed interest in the programme, while the initial available quota is 90 students,” she said.
